MONICA GERBER, PhD (she/her), is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Asian Pacific Clinic of Aurora Mental Health and Recovery in Colorado. She specializes in providing culturally and trauma-informed care to individuals and families with refugee and immigrant experiences. She trains and supports graduate students to enter the mental health field with anti-oppressive and community-driven orientations in her role guiding clinical training at the Cultural Development and Wellness Center. Monica has worked in community settings throughout her career and incorporates an understanding of systemic oppression and community healing into her clinical work, teaching, and supervision. She is a sixth-generation American of primarily German and English heritage and lives with a visual deficit. Monica enjoys eating long meals with friends, reading a good book, and being nourished by the natural world with her husband and two elderly fur babies.
